Looks good. You'll have to do a LS1 Front End Conversion though, which I think you were already planning on doing.

The cost is pretty low for an aftermarket hood and his feedback is pretty good, but still a little sketchy. The hood looks good nonetheless, but like anything on Ebay, tread carefully I guess I'm trying to say.

Which car are you doing the swap on?

Personally I would do it on the z28 because you are getting a Cowl Induction hood, and that will help keep that LT1 cool.

I dont really like the way the hood looks. if it were me, I'd get either an SS hood or a cowl hood. Not something between the two

Here's a picture of my front end conversion with a 02 SS Hood, maybe it will help in your decision.

i wouldn't buy homemade fiberglass hoods off ebay.. my buddy bought one that looked like the vfn sunoco (obvious knockoff). definitely needed a bit of trimming before it fit right.

It won't fit if he does a Front End conversion.

The conversion was necessary for the hood he wanted. My suggestion is this one for looks and simplicity, i.e. no conversion.

what do you mean it wont fit if i do the converison? I thought you need a 98+ hood in order for the hood to sit right?

So i went to the dealer today and was able to buy all the brackets cost was $157 one of the bracket numbers were wrong. Ill post the right bracket number in the tutoral later.

So by the looks of it seems like this hood is garbage. The ss hood is nice but i think ill just stick to the sunoco 2.5
