Post How to remove rear bumper?

I am trying to remove the rear bumper on my 94 Camaro and I'm running into trouble. I took the two pins on either sides of the bumper that are right behind the tires as well as all the studs across the bottom. What is holding the top of it in so well?

Thanks in advance,
Whyno

well, first you have to remove the taillights and rear camaro panel, open your hatch and remove the spare tire cover and spare tire, there should be 3 studs (inside) on both sides of the car, 10mm nuts are holding them on, then back out on the ouside where the bumper cover meets the rear quarter panel (right behind the tires) there should be a phillips head screw, one on each side.
once you have the rear camaro panel removed there are push-pins holding the top edge of the cover, and last but not least, across the rear underside there are also push-pins holding this on.. then it should come off..

i hope this helps ya !

I hope so too .

I appreciate it. I got all the pins off of the underside of the bumper, but I wasn't sure how much I needed to take off to get the upperside loose. I guess I have more to do than I thought...all to fix a stress crack.

The right side of the bumper came undone and cracked the left side corner, at its apex. I am going remove the bumper, sand it down, and try to fix it myself, then repaint the area. I'll let you know how it went.

Thanks again...Whyno
