I assume your talking about the ribs on top the intake. Start with 320 sand paper, then 600, then 1200. I've got a 8in buffing wheel on a bench grinder, but you can use a small polishing wheel from your dremel kit with compound. I did my intake, h2o pump, fuel rails, and alt. Use sandpaper rolls to get into the hard to reach spots. It's a ton of work with the small dremel's. a diegrinder, both straight and 90 degree, sanding rolls and 3M pads makes short work of anything made from aliminum. I've got maybe five hours in polishing everything under the hood, I even did ther ac lines.

Oh God don't get Steve started I've seen the engine bay INCREDIBLE, I mean INCREDIBLE and with the right tools it doesn't take to long, but with a dremel it would take forever!!! It took me awhile just to clean up and smooth out LS1 brake calipers with a dremel.
Lucky Steve is a bud and I can take my pieces over to his house Hey Steve think we can polish my S-trim and hard intake elbow??
