How to paint my new wheels

I just ordered a replaceent set of ZR-1/SS rims for my car and these are slighty different. Its AFS new design with a bigger polished lip. My question to all of you is how should I paint them?

With a polished lip, you'll be less likely to notice "chipped paint damage" from when tires are mounted and dismounted because there is no paint there
