Exclamation How much would you pay for HRE's?

I have a friend that just got some HRE 545s about 2 months ago for his 50th anniversary vette. They are 17x9 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear. He also had them chrome plated. He is going with 18's for the front and 19's with the rear and just offered his old ones to me for $2500, says he paid 5k for them. Heres the thing, I also wanted to go with 18's and 19's but almost seems to be to good of an offer to turn down. What would you all do?

I would pass it up, 17s & 18s are too small, my next set will be 19s and 20s like Aircops

BUY'EM BUY'EM BUY'EM !!!
don't let that deal slip away!
you could run them for awhile and then turn around and sell them (for even more than you paid for them) once you have a little more cash saved up and then step up in sizes.

5k is about right for a set of 17/18's especially chrome plated!
$2500 is a great price!

If that includes good tires I would buy them and just resell them.

Damn, I think I'll get them and try to sell or trade for a pair of those 547's, damn those are sweet! Hopefully this will all work out. Thanks for the input!

Price depends on width as well, say 18x9.5 thats $1,258 a piece and 19x10.5 for the rear thats $1,507 a piece. So you are looking at roughly $5500 just for the wheels alone.
