I'm thinking about doing this but not totally sure yet.......for those that have had their windows tinted: what percent, which windows did you get darker (hatch darker than windows, etc etc) and how much did it all cost?

Just looking for some general info. Thanks.

$160.00 all the way around, .5 Limo tint.

the hatch kills us, tinters hate that damn thing

been sticking now for 3 years, good as gold.

$45 side windows 20%

I paid 200 for mine. They did a beautiful job, and comes with a lifetime warranty.

 

Paid $80 to do the rear... 50% sides/35% rear is legal in VA.

 

who cares if its legal its all about the look

some local guys will replace it if you get caught for an addition $25.00.

I had been reading that cops around Richmond can be asses when it comes to tint... Just don't need an excuse to be pulled over and possibly written up for other things "illegal" like clear corners, exhaust, etc.

I'm happy with the 35%... I was surprised how dark it looked on my car... The steep pitch of the rear window makes it look darker straight on from the rear... Out in the boondocks the cops might be more lenient of tint though... 50% would be a waste of $$$ so I didn't bother getting the sides done.

 

$180.00 for convert., limo on back 15% on sides. 8yr. warrenty done 3yrs. ago and still looks like new.

 

I have mine done all the way around with lifetime but can't remember how much. Also had it done at a chain that no longer exists, so much for warranty. My sides are illegal but all I do is when I get pulled over for anything I roll both windows down all the way and never had a problem. I've had them tinted for about 7 years now with no problems.

 

I got a visor across my windshield for $20. And I did the two roll down windows both 5% and that cost me $50. My back window was already done in 5% so that was free. I knew a guy so he basically did it for free.

 

I paid $180 5 years ago for Onyx lifetime guarentee tint (Fading and other issues), that was with black Vinyl over the dots, 5% rear, and 20% sides.

To me that was a great price and the look is perfect. It makes backing up at night a little difficult where it's dark, but otherwise it's all good.

I'm starting to get the spots here and there where the tint has been damaged, and small specks of it are comming off, but nothing seriously noticable to anyone but me.

I'll probably get it re-done for the about the same price from another guy I know with similar tint, probably something with a little more Mirror to it to go with the red and silver of the car.
