it looks simple to get it off but after pulling and prying to try to get the center filler and the lights off, i cant seem to get them off without them looking like theyre going to crack or something. Anybody know an easy way to get these things off?

You have to open the hatch. You'll see one **** in the spare tire cover, and one under the plastic panel on the driver's side. There's two for each tail light. To get the panel off, you still need to be in the hatch. I'm pretty sure there are 4 nuts that need to come off. These might be 10mm, i'm not sure. I think two of them are behind the carpet stuff in the trunk area. You should be able to easily find them.
