How hard to recover a headliner?

My headliner material is ripping on the passenger's side. How hard would it be to get a kit from somewhere like Year One and recover it myself?

I was thinking about just getting a new headliner, but not only will a used one be around $120-150, but then facor in shipping for that big thing.

A kit from Year One is only $50

So has anyone done it? Or had experience with Year One's kit?

Maybe its different in FL, but I have recovered 4-5 headliners, they always fall after a few monthes Seems like the problem is glue, and the headliner deteriorating.

Re: How hard to recover a headliner?

I'm sure heat has a lot to do with it, my headliner has been in stock and haven't had any problems with it, I've taken it out to modify it and I still haven't had any problems with it sagging yet, knock on wood. Recovering would probably be a decent idea, but didn't someone actually make their headliner in fiberglass, then cover it with padding and the fabric? That'd probably be the ultimate thing to do....
