how hard is it to prep

how hard is it to prep fiberglass for paint i am in the getting ready to paint my car. i have never preped fiber glass before i have only done old mucle cars and they are american steel. so if any one has any web sites tips any thing like that i would really appreciate the help. thanks in advance joe

If it's bare, prime, block, and check for pinholes. If you have no pinholes rock on the same way with anything else.

If it's gel coated sand it down with 320 and if there are no imperfections and you didn't cut through much just seal and paint.

Fiberglass isn't much different from steel in this stage. You just need to pay attention because unlike steal you can sand too aggressively and put waves in it.
