How hard to modify alt. bracket for valve covers?

I really like these valve covers on Sallee Chevy's website.
They are the chrome covers p/n 141-132 GM 12497985

Valve covers

It says they wont fit LT1s due to the alt. bracket (which I understand fully). How hard would it be to modify the bracket? Anyone done that? Cool valve covers like this for LT1s are few and far between.

Click on the link under the picture to see the measurements compared to the stock stamped covers.

Thanks.

From what I hear, you have to beat the **** out of the valve cover itself. I wouldn't worry about it though seeing as how no one looks under that part of the alternator.

That sucks. I'd like to get something else other than the LT4 valve covers and have them fit but if beating the **** out of the cover is what it comes to, its not worth it. LT1s always find a new way to be a PITA.
