Question How do I remove the little trim pieces or squares that go around the seat belts?

Hi Guys!

I have a 1997 Formula with 40Kmiles on the odometer. I need to know how to remove the square trim pieces that the seat belt goes through as it comes out of the headliner. The reason I need to know is I am preparing to take the old headliner out and put in the new one.

Would I have to remove these trim pieces? I am scared to death of breaking these and I can't find replacements from the dealer.

Please! I need your help! THanks Lee!

If you're gonna replace the headliner, just cut it all around the seatbelt trim and take a look up there.

You don't need to take them out to replace the headliner. They unsnap from the seatbelt retraction assembly bolted up top. Just slide them down the belt a little ways when you remove and install the new headliner. Then snap them back in. The headliner will have a slit in it to slide the belt itself through.
