I was thinking about putting a horsepower decal on the ram air hood I am going to get. How many of you would consider this RICE???? I mean the car came stock with 285, i have a 150 shot of nitrous and other bolt ons. Would it be a stretch to put 425 on the hood??? Should I go with a lower number???? I plan to add longtubes with a custom tune by the end of the summer so that would add a considerable ammount. Any input would be appreciated.

 

Nah, I wouldn't call it rice. I wish I could do it to mine, but I gotta get the HP up first, lol.

Maybe if you put your stock HP number on a car with no mods, it's possible you could get laughed at. But if you've got a few mods and a respectable HP number, I say go ahead. I love the look of it; it screams muscle, IMO.

 

There's nothing wrong with hp ratings on your hood, but the problem with it is, you'd have to change it every time you modded the car. Also, why let everyone know what hp you have? takes all the suspense out of modding the car anyway.

So it isn't so much rice, but say goodbye to that "sleeper".

 

I would put 3.8 V6 on the ram air hood, but that's just me

hahaha yeah I would love to do that but with the rumble of the GMMG I don't think many people would believe that I had a V6 under the hood. I want to put 425 because that is what I estimate I have at the crank with the giggle gas. I won't have to change it but maybe once, and that will be in a few years when the 383 is done and in, then im hoping to have 425 at the wheels without the gas

 

You could just put a 350 LT1 sticker on.

I'm thinking about getting a 346 LS1 sticker.... would it look dumb you think?

 

I got my buddy some for his ss. One side says 346ci and the other says 345hp. Almost 1:1.

HOWEVER

i wouldn't put the hp level that it makes on the NO2...that just seems kindda fake.

with your planned mods you'll easily make 300 to the wheels...i'd use that, or maybe the conversion of that to crank...335 or so

 

I also have a nitrous kit and ruled out the nitrous numbers. There has been a few times I ran out of N2O in the middle of a few races... I didnt have 400hp anymore..there goes my sticker.

 

maybe just get a decal that says "Man, I will RAPE you!"
