Well thanks to a deer last nite I have to replace my hood and bumper. Has anyone put a carbon fiber hood on there ride or seen one on a f-body. Saw one on e-bay for 650. Weighs only 20lbs great weight saver.

 

You would get some good weight savings with a fiberglass hood as well and they run around the same. Of course, you would have to flip the bill to have it painted as well. Then again, do you have a preference for the carbon fiber hood?

 

Well its the AIS hood, there on e-bay. I realize if I go carbon fiber I'd leave it un painted. I was windering if anybody has one and the quality? On on the other side the Harwood 2.5 cowl hood looks great on f-body's. There's a car on here in the first post that has it on a black car. No body has any info orpics of a AIS hood on a f-body?
