I have a green 97Z28 and I'm thinking about putting some stripes on the hood but I want to see how it looks like in person before I put paint on it.
I was thinking about using some black shoe polish.
Would it come off easy?
Or should I use a watter base paint?
I'm sure that would come off.

You can use black tape. It's good enough to give you an idea of how the car will look.

 

I have these vinyl stripes that have held up pretty good for about 5 or 6 years now and everyone thinks they are painted on until i tell them they are stickers.

 

Those are what I want to put on my car just full stripes on the hood.
Yours has a little flame thing going on there.

 

yea they are the anniversary stripes.. they have the solid stripe kits also but they are to blan for my taste, i wish i could find solid stripes with the pin stripe next to it like mine but without the spread out anniversary stuff goin on up top on the hood.
