Which Hood?
Those wider cowls like 96 Z 28 mentioned I thought have always looked best on the camaros. I had one on my old red v6. Only thing is you can't seem a damn thing. You go from not being able to see the front end to not being able to see any road within ten yards of the nose

You must live close to me then. I live 2.5 hours south of KC. I've seen the RamAir hood on a Camaro, it doesnt look as bad as I thought it would. I always thought they were more for the Firebirds, but its not so bad for a Camaro, especailly when you add it with ground effects.

I don't know what size the one I had was because it came with the car. I don't think it was 3" and 2.5" sounds right. But honestly, its totally doable. It's not like you had any visibility to begin with in this cars. And as I said when people commented on how it must be hard for me to see,"Some sacrafices must be made"
Plus, I would usually sit up a little more when I needed to when parking and crap. Whatever, you'll be fine.

Well if it did not have the opening it would be almost identical to the harwood, and the thing i dont care for about those, is the side profile which seems to run straight and not follow the curve of the fenders,
granted the harwood looks great from the front i just think that is the
flaw of that particular hood, so coupled together its like a large mouth bass from the front, and incorrect on the sides
