Holy Rare 1996 SS, Batman!!!!!

I don't know all the numbers like some of you folks, but this SS's combination has got to be one of the rarest I've seen. Check er out on ebay below.

Yeah, but that has got to be one rare car. And I think I could actually see myself enjoying a car like that...it's rare, a neat color that you don't see very often, it's a convertible, and has a tan interior. It's practically the opposite of my SS...and I think it'd be cool to have two SS's that different from one another.

It's rare because I don't think it's real

1) All 96SSs were numbered. I don't see mention of the car number.

2) I'm fairly certain that color wasn't an option on the SS in that year

Actually, just thought of something else. It's not an SS.

Look at the radiator/fan shroud. It has a sticker on the left. All 96SSs came with an SLP sticker on the lower right indicating it as an SS from SLP. You can see the SLP sticker in this picture here...

I just sent the guy an email. He may have bought it used and it was sold to him as an SS and he doesn't know better. He could get himself in legal trouble and not even know it (assuming he isn't purposely misrepresenting it!)

Whoops! Didn't know I was going to create such a controversy. Are you for sure that there were no purple SS's in '96? Wow, hope it works out for that guy.

96 SS camaros were limited to the following colors only:
white, polo green, teal, black, and red.
definately not a real SS.
