I posted this in the lounge - but I thought I may get some more responses here, or someone who wants to try it.


First, let me say that this idea may make someone with the electrical knowhow a profit...but since I don't have any gift for doing electrial stuff, I'll share my idea for discounted finished item.

Okay....now on to my idea.

I was surfing the, and came across this page: http://www.lisst.com/rbt/index.html It talks about taking the bowtie in the grill of 94-96 B-body/Impala and making it glow red. Now, I had a '96 Impy, and did the red bowtie sticker mod, but I like where this guy is coming from....I just want to improve on his idea.

Anyways, take his idea with the glowing red bowtie (or make it any color) and use the SLP Grill. See where I'm going with this?? Somehow crossbreed the 2 together and have a soft red glow to the SLP Grill. Nothing too gay, but just a "hint" of Bowtie power.

tbyrnemotorsports.com sells the above girll for $174.99. I think someone could buy a few grills and do the mod, and sell the completed project/mod for around $250 shipped (he charges $70 for just the light). I know supplies might cost less then that, but figure in some personal time, how to hook it up, and some testing.....it seems fair to make a small profit.

I may have screwed myself, and have lost all hope in getting any deal with this, as I'm posting this idea in an open forum - but I would really like to see it done.


....that, and I don't know if his light would fit on the SLP Grill
