HELP!!! w/Vortech Intake tube

ok i ordered the polished vortech intake tube and had some problems. No one told me we had to tap and die the air sensor. I did that but in the process snapped the bottom of it with the vice i had it in. I superglued it back together.

Them main problem and question im asking is why isnt this elbow fitting perfect with the rest of my stuff? The hose that connects to the K&N intake tube is an inch to the left from the part of the K&N intake tube that its suppose to connect to. the vortech polished intake tube barely fits on there and my whole intake assembly (K&N, MAF, Int. tube) is sitting up now. Can some1 post pics of theirs? THe only thing i know is my MAF is sitting with the sensor on TOP now... is the plug in sensor suppose to be on the bottom of the MAF? the car is running ok but i want things to fit right because if i go over bumps i dont want all the stuff to fall off!

HELP

vortech elbow

hey man i bought on of those too for my 97 Z28 and i wasnt too pleased, for one, it didnt fit well with my airfoil so i had to rig that to work, then i put it on and it was too long to i had to cut about an inch off the side that connects to the maf sensor. i wouldnt recommend that elbow to anyone, instead i heard the new trick flow is really good and doesnt have the dividers in the middle so it works with the air foil. anyways, im with you in your problems man, id send mine back if i hadnt already screwed it up.
