Help! w/ Rear body "sail" panel!!
I am replacing my Driver's side 1/4 panel. And I am trieng to get the rear roof "sail" panel that runs in front of the hatchback. This thing has lips that cover the 1/4 panel seam, so I know it has to come off.
I have both T-tops off, the headliner and everything stripped from the inner roof, but I still don't see how to take it off. I see one adhesive covered "screw" in the center of the inner roof but just one bolt or screw could'nt be it!!!!
HALP! This is the last thing I need to take off before I start building her back up.

they put that fiberglass skin (rear roof section) on with 3m superfast urethane, otherwise known as windsheild sealant (black rubber looking stuff)
to get that edge of the panel up, you have to use a piano wire, slide it up underneath the edge and move it back and forth like a sawing action.
if you by chance break it the dealer wants over $400 just for that panel, but i have a few brand new GM ones i'll sell for $150.00 + shipping each (in primer)

to put it back on, you will need to go to a "autobody supply store" and pick up a tube of 3M Super Fast Urethane, it comes in a caulk tube (so of course you'll need a caulk gun)
keep my number handy, if you need anything i can help ya out!
