Help me decide on a finish for my new custom intake manifold-

I was originally going to have my new custom intake manifold just clear coated and left a shiny metal look... but after testing it looks pretty crappy with the clear coat So i think we will just powder coat it.

I really can only see red or black as options. I have a white T/A, and everything is pretty much white, black, or metal in the engine bay. So even though a red intake (kinda like the color of a LT4 intake) looks good, i wonder if a big red intake with nothing else red would look wierd. Black would look good, but i dont want to make this pimp intake look bland and dull.

HMMMMMM anyone have some suggestions?
Thanks!

Hmmm... I need to see pics of the engine bay in order to get some idea of what we have to work with

My first thought is that red with polished fins would look good, especially if your throttle body is polished.

Yep TB is a polished monoblade... but this intake has no fins, so....

I'll try to get a pic of the engine bay.

What about jet-hot style ceramic coating? Not just for looks, makes a difference in performance.

Hmm interesting. I wonder how it would look on something that large. You dont have pics of anything other than headers coated in it by chance do you?

Did you use a paint can type clear coat that didn't look good? You could have it powder coated in a clear, if you didn't know. The only idea, which I don't know if I'd like personally..but it's an option, would be to use a pearl white. Personally, I would think that a white car would look good w/ a red intake.

I was going to get Paul Berry to coat mine, but I think I want to try to find someone who can get mine anodized orange. Sorry if I'm asking this and shouldn't be, but anyone know any ideas of where to look for this kinda work?

Ken I think black would look good. You really cant go wrong with that. Im going to go with Red but my engine bay and the car have hints of red.
