Help....I have a factory alarm problem

I posted this in the car audio section but i'd figure that i'd post it here to since I know alot of you guys know about alarms. The car audio forum doesn't move as fast as this one and I really want to fix this problem before I go to a car show on Saturday.

I have a 1997 Camaro Convertible, A4, 70K

The factory alarm has been flipping out recently, going off when nothing has touched it! This has happened 4 times: twice just sitting out in the driveway (NO ONE touched it I am positive, no bird poo either), once at my track practice, and once during my school day (you're required to be in classes, you can't "skip" and walk outside...I KNOW no one did anything to it). It also happened in the driveway once, everyone was inside and it just went off...no one was around it. I don't think its the sensitivity since I reset that along time ago so its not to sensitive.

How can I fix this problem? I am afraid to park it because it will just randomley go off. Help!

That might have to do with condonsation in the alarm relays. I believe they are located somewhere behind or near the glove box. Maybe if you clean them or get new ones it might help....not sure though, just a guess.

the alarm on my car was going off like that too......
only on extremely windy days though.....
i checked the sensitivity setting on the alarm and made sure it was at low...but, that didnt help either......finally just disconnected it.
if i have any problems ill just call state farm insurance.

Check your shock sensor. It will be located right above your spare tire. It has an adjustment on it too and you can also unplug it altogether.

If I unplug my shock sensor will that disable the whole alarm? Or will the key protection still be there (can't drive my car without my key b/c it won't start)?

If you unplug it, the key protection will still be there and it will not disable the alarm. Ive had mine unplugged for a year now because it was nothing but trouble.
