Help on headlights

I have a '00 Z-28, just wondering if anyone knows how to disable the automatic headlights.

A quick fix is popping your e brake one click and it turns it off. The permenant one is here, but I got to search it too see if it is still up

I really dont wanna quick fix. I cant stand not being able to control when they are on or off.
