Help door trim panel has a dim light??

I have a 94 Camaro. My drivers side door trim panel lights up perfectly since I put an LED #74 light in there. But my passenger panel is really really dim. I put the same bulb in both sides and the bulb is just as bright as the drivers side, but when I install the bulb in the panel somehow the light isnt as bright as the drivers side. I havent pulled the panel completely out yet, but is there a reflective mirror in there that reflects the light down onto our switches? Im trying to figure out if I need a new trim panel. It looks like there is something in there thats blocking part of the light. Is there a way to fix this? Has anyone taken this piece apart?
