headliner

i have the tears in the normal places on my headliner i was wondering if you can just spray the new fabric to the existing one

no you cant! you will have craters where the tears are in the old headliner. its easy to rip it off and glue the new material in. just take your time, it will come out looking great. make sure you use heat to help stretch/dry the material

i used a da orbital sander on my dad's 95 camaro. it came right off and then sprayed and reapolstered with new material. took like maybe 45 mins total.

i took it to a upholstery guy and he said when i pull it down it will just disinagrate so im wondering if theres plastic with the fabric foamed backing

When I took mine down the hard board backing simply fell apart, so I bought one of the pvc ones. Looks great and is a whole lot more stable.

Not sure. It's been a couple years ago. If I remember correctly it was a little expensive at the time. Upwards of $150 - $160 or so.

you have to take off the visors, A pillars, the t-top latch pin covers on the rear sides, the hatch light, and also take out the coat hooks on each side and pull those sections down slightly...

i think thats all of it, its been about 3 years since i redid my headliner
