Headlight sealed bean conversion kits!
I found a great product for our cars with those horrible sealed beam headlights!! Check out this link and scroll down to 4351 which are our lows and 4352 which are our highs. The conversion kits slip right in the stock spot and take 9006 bulbs for low and 9005 bulbs for high!! HAS to be better than the crap we use now!

HAS to be better than the crap we use now!

Do a search on "autooptiks" and you will see that they are worse than stock and a total waste.
- They don't seal properly, leading to condensation
- They don't center the bulb properly in the housing
- Poor quality / manufacturing / flimsy parts
- Requires modification of the stock housing mounts or else the glass will explode

WOW!! Thanks for the info y'all. I will run away from this idea! Appreciate the replies. I'll just pull the bulb off the sealed beam and put a new bulb on.

Yeah you can pry out the original bulb in the stock sealed beam housing and replace that. A buddy did that in his 97 SS using Sylvania Silverstars 9006 bulbs. I guess its a little brighter, but also made a little more glare. I on the other hand have anything but a stock sealed beam:-)

I run with Krypton blue 9006's in my 2000, it has that blue/hyper white look. I have'nt had any problems and they came with a "lifetime" guarantee (ebay). In my 86 Z/28 I have GR matrix H-4 conversions with Hyper white bulbs that I bought from Summit. Check out Summit, jegz, Ebay, JC Whitney or just do a search on any engine site (lycos, yahoo etc..). There are also some that I saw for your model called Rytek, It gives you a smaller circle headlight but it's different. Hope it helps
