Headlight options for LT1 TA's???
Re: Headlight options for LT1 TA's???
They actually make a xenon light system for f-bodies. It runs around $300 I think but it's way brighter than halogen bulbs. The only thing is it will have that purplish glow to it, like you see on benzs and bmw's running the xenon lights.

Thanks!

Those HID "plug and play" kits are a waste of money, if you're going to do it, retro-fit is where it's at.
Cheapest upgrade for best results, start with new fog light replacements with a complete new housing, etc. Something such as Piaa or Hella make great lights for the money, Hella being the best in bang for the buck and arguabley the best performance wise, all things being equal.

Option #3: E- Code Replacement Headlight assemblies
I was just recently informed (thanks to Curt at Z28.com! ) that an E-Code replacement lens assembly is offered for the headlights. From my understanding E-Code headlamps are those based on meeting European specifications. They have much more strictor and varying laws regarding lighting and vehicle operation. Often referred to as "export" assemblies they tend to produce better light and allow for more versatility. With these you can replace the bulbs like as done with the Autooptiks kit mentioned above.
Keep in mind that E-Code lamps do meet many specifications and tolerances not found on stock assemblies and conversion kits. This makes for a more effective lamp as should be already found on our cars, unfortunetly they are not.
These lamps also use the H-7 bulbs which allow for easy changes and can be bought anywhere. It is said that even remaining at stock wattages, lighting is greatly improved from the reflective qualities of this housing as compared to stock.

Do you have any more information on this? As in where to buy, pictures, prices, etc.? Thanks
