Headlight area

The headlight area on my Z is flat black, but I've noticed some cars have headlight areas that match the color of the car. was this an option or a year specific thing?

Here are some pics of what mine looks like..

All white front end.. Looks so much better in my opinion and everyone else i talk to about it than the flat black...

Flat black on the head light area doesnt look good..
Gloss black looks better.. or having it the same color as the car is a matter of opinion..

But getting rid of the black between the fog lights is a must

I thought long and hard about those...

The entire top area of the car is black... black tint, black hatch roll bar/panel thingy... So i thought the mirrors wouldnt look right if they were white..
