has anybody had any luck splitting tail lights?

like the title says, im trying to split the lens from the housing on a set of 93-96 camaro tail lights. i have a junk set to experiment on, and the first came apart by simply prying with a screwdriver, but that cracked the lens. i know for some headlights, you can heat them in the oven for a while, and theyll come loose, but i think i remember someone saying that doesnt work for these lights. i have one more light to try with, so any ideas would be appreciated. if nothing comes up, ill stick it in the oven for a while

The tail-lights are made differently than the headlights. You can't just heat them up and pull them apart like the heads. Putting them in the oven will just melt them. The only thing you can do is use a dremel with a cut-off wheel and cut them apart (carefully). Then attempt to glue them back together once you're don't doing what you're doing. It's not easy hince why you don't see it done very often.
