has any1 ever seen side pipes on a 4th gen?
I know alot of stangs have them and look good , but i was just tryin to think what you'd have to do to have it look good on a 4th gen , i know it have to be implemented into a body kit more than likely
Re: has any1 ever seen side pipes on a 4th gen?
I haven't seen any but I've been thinking about the same thing since I got my Z. I'm tired of the old dual pipes out the back. I kinda like these
The thing that worries me is the size of the pipe inlet/outlet and the heat coming off of them. I'd hate to get out of the car and burn my leg on them. I might get used to them being there but I know my kids would get burnt left and right.

I don't run sidepipes, but I do run a side-exit exhaust; custom true-duals.
The only real issue is road clearance, I'm at the stock height and I do catch things with the exhaust, mufflers, headers, and tips. On my firebird with the tips that I have I actually love the way it looks. I'll try to take some pictures soon before I put the car away.

You are gonna want an x-pipe first. It gives you more torque then 2 seperate pipes and also makes the sound a lot better. If you dont have an x pipe, it will sound very choppy.

Just get boom tubes that's what the sonoco camaro has. For me it's between these, cme, and what I have now.

I know a few guys that are doing side exit exhausts on their Camaros, should be interesting when they're done. I know one is molding it into his side panel gfx, but the other I'm not sure.
