Harwood ram-air hood question..
Harwood ram-air hood question..
i was dying to get a ram-air hood for my Z28, found this and got a good deal on it brand new, was lookin forward to finally havin some air shoved into that closed up engine bay and when i got this hood out of the box and in the paint room, i found out it was opened up... went to a shop to check on having it opened up, i was told 1) they could do it, but it was a 2piece fiberglass hood and it would look like crap if they opened it and put somethin in there to keep bugs/rain/etc out of it because it would be an inch back form the actual opening, so my question is, is this required or is it possible to just basically cut it open and leave it at that (other than refiberglassing the rough edges to smooth it up a bit on the outside) spent about $350 on this hood and looks like i shoulda just ordered the slp Z hood and left it at that, woulda came out just the same price apparently =/ .. congrats to harwood for selling a ram-air hood thats non-functional
(i do get a lot of compliments on its look though
) bah, at least it looks good... if it wasnt for that ilda taken it back soon as i saw it wasnt functional rofl
