Hardtop to T-Top conversion

Can someone tell me how much it would cost to do this swap. And is there a kit or something(instructions) that would help me do this swap. Is there a web site? Thanks fellas I appreciate your help.

Why would you want to put crappy T-Tops in and ruin your car. I think T-Tops suck. Just my opinion. Good luck.

Personally i think its the t-tops that make the Camaro/Firebirds special...no one goes along that line anymore....the old 5.0's tried it no luck, nissan did it for a while too. For race applications....i wouldnt recommend it because i know when u pass 80mph + the wind seeps in the weatherstripping an it sounds like the car will fall apart. But if your gonna cruise in it an just have a nice fast car....definately get them. They sell kits usually $350-$450 range but then you have to find someone with enough ***** to tackle the centerbrace an choppin up your roof ya know usually in excess of $1000 honestly if u want ttops find a messed up camaro with a excess amount of miles and swap out the guts of the car. just my .02.......goodluck If you wanna do it i got a drivers side top for sale and there was a few tutorials online how to cut off the roof. =)

When I had my head liner out, it didn't look to bad, the roof is real thin.

There is a guy on this board that did a NICE T-top conversion. He did EVERYTHING HIMSELF, and was probably as inexperienced as I am when it comes to working on cars. But he TOOK HIS TIME (8 hrs including 2 2 hour breaks) and finished it. It looked BAD *** and everyone was flipping out over it. All the materials costed him around $500, although it was a little less.

I'll see if I can find the link for you, which contains all the info you'll need to do the conversion. I plan to do it too someday, although I'm too insecure with myself to carve my hood up, so my cost will be quite a bit higher for labor purposes.

Hey bro , here is the info you need . www.dw-zone.com is the place to look. It is called davids page. He has the links to the speed shop that sell's the kits on e bay as well as a detailed step by step procedure posted on his page . Took him bout ten hours labor . Hope that was enough help and if you need to talk to him his email is lt1power@dw-zone.com He could answer any questions. His car turned out beautifully. Good luck

I did this a few weeks ago. Took about 8 hours. Not veryhard at all!!!! The roof is very thin. Its a pain to peel off though, thats some strong glue holding it on!

Hey bro, it's a BIG go on that manual! I'm sure that people would want something to have with them cut-by-cut and not have to run inside and look at the computer screen filled w/ fuzzy pictures. I personally think that if someone made a video that shows the install from the perspective of the person actually doing it, that it would be the biggest help of all. But that's just my .02............

How much would it cost top have it installed? Like the price of the kit roughly, thats what I have always thought.
