Halo Rings

Anyone know where I can get a pair of rings, Preferably CCFL, with a 90mm OUTER diameter????? I've got an idea and just need the rings to finish it.

Yeah, NONE of the BMW ones fit. They're all either 10.5cm of 13.5cm outer diameter. I think I'll either have to have the 90mm ones custom made, or forget about my idea.

It is a do-it-yourself guide to making your own halo rings.Doesn't look to hard to do.

OUTSTANDING LINK!!!! I may be able to do this after all. My only complaint is going to be that it's an LED lighting source, but I can work around that.

Thanks!!!!!

Great link. I have been looking around to find something for mine. I want to switch from my stock square lights. Glad you found it. Nice idea on the subs too.

Re: Halo Rings

The Halo idea reminded me of this. These are 80mm computer fans with 80mm CCFL rings on them that are detachable. They run off of a 12V power source.

http://www.crazypc.com/Merchant2/mer...uct_Code=82500

The same site also sells them in UV, green, and red.

Yeah, I already thought about that, but not being able to get them in white kills that idea for me. It would work though, and most of those kits come with an inverter for the CCFL setup also.

Re: Halo Rings

Ive got a disk round here somewhere that explains how to do it all yourself using one of those rods from a set of window blinds, a lil heat, a dremel or other method of putting small cut, a drill and small bit and an led light. Easy to do, but im kinda hung on the whole putting my headlight assembly in the oven to remove the outer cover from the rest of the assembly. Is there another way of making that seperation?
