Halo LED replacement, anyone know how?

While using a buffer on my halo headlights I think I may have broken the LED in my halo ring. Does anyone know how to fix this and where I could buy new LEDs?

Good question, i've never seen replacements for sale. It would be stupid if you had to buy a whole new headlight because of a burned out halo ring, those things are horrible quality for some reason.

The write up in LS1Tech was exactly what I needed. I'm gonna put some brighter blue LEDs in mine. I went to Radio Shack to check out LEDs and they were outrageous for blue LEDs so I just went on ebay and picked up 100 blue LEDs for $4.99 shipped.

Can you post a link to that write up?

I just finished taking mine apart, pretty easy, just be careful when seperating the lens from the housing. I also went ahead and painted the insert with the halos in it black.

I have bought ones for my 2010 SS and have seen some pictures of red halo lights on a 2002 Camaro. I looked for some and all I could find were the blue ones. Does anyone know a place to get the red ones for a 2002 model?

As far as I know no one makes the red halos for a 98-02 Camaro. If you want red halos you would need to buy a set of the blue ones and switch the halo LEDs out with red ones.

Here they are done, I painted the insert with the halos in it black and put 8,000 mcd blue LED's in the halo rings.

I just tried the link and couldn't get it to work either. I printed it out but the problem is I just moved so I'll have to find it. If I can find it I'll try to make a copy of it and send it to you.
