Question Had an accident, where do I get parts??

I had a slight accident last night. My girlfriend backed into my Camaro because she couldn't see me sitting there and she nailed my passenger side door, bent up my mirror and shot the glass about 10 feet in the air. Pics of the damage are at the page listed below;

I know I know, it's not huge damage, but it's enough. What I'm wanting to know is, where is the best place to get two things; a door skin and a power mirror assembly. I found the door skin for $275 + shipping at Classic Industries and a new mirror assembly at Trans Am Creations for $40. Can I find the skin for any cheaper? Thanks in advance,

You could contact http://www.hpsalvage.com/ and ask if they have those parts laying around. It would only be about a 2 hour drive from where you are.

Those are all good suggestions. If you can't find what you need from there, try calling Jason Cromer and Sam Taylor Buick. You can get brand new stock parts for about half the price that you get from all the other dealerships.

Hey everyone, thanks for all the replies! I inspected the door further and I saw that I need a new door instead of just a door skin. So I'm probably going to search around at some salvage yards online and see what I come up with. Thanks again everyone!

Check a GM dealership first. You may or may not be surprised at the price. If you know someone that works at one like me then you get a megga discount.

I'm in the same boat as you are - lookin' for the best prices for OEM body parts - not aftermarket

Luckily I only live about 8hrs from SpeedAutomotive.com $200 for bumper cover and $100 for fender. I have been making it a habit to drive down there once a year and get misc parts anyway so thats just a couple items on the list this year. (headliner, 97+ dash swap)

Hope ya find a good price. Give steve a call see what he can do for ya 1-800-368-0116

I've bought a passenger side mirror, driver side ground effect, and a new rear wing, all from speed automotive and the parts have always been fine. Got to paint them of course, but thats obvious. Just make sure your real specific about the quality of the part your looking for. I always have to ask him, "is it gonna be perfect condition?" And except for paint it is.
