Hey, I got a set of 18" wagon wheels. I love the wheels, but I'm not sure what I should do about the checkered flags that are on the center caps. They're right in the middle, and look to be on alum. but I believe it's just hard plastic. I thought about putting some filling on it and painting it silver, but I don't know how good that would hold. Any one else have any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Maybe you could powder-coat/chrome the center caps, since they're already aluminum. Not sure exactly what checkered flags your talking about, I'd probably just leave them on there.
