Amazing. You're doing things to your interior that I've only dreamt of doing thus far.

Re: GUESS WHO'S BACK!!!!! with some major updates

Thanks yall, that means alot.

*Actually only the 86 Z28 and the 2000 camaro are mine, the rest are my customers.

* The floors in my 2000 camaro are "snow white" vinyl covered in clear plastic

* Hellbird: ballparkin it, I would say about 4 Gal for the sub boxes and console and another two Gal. for the amp rack "thingy" lol!!

* Messination: It's funny but you might not remember, you were the reason I even thought about tampering with my doors at all. i dont have to click on your link to remember those doors. I always remember good work. just wait until i take the 2000 camaro door panels off (this weekend), i got a new customer with a .........1999 camaro (bout dam time I worked on a 4th gen lol) already on dubs , which will be 22's next week. i'm doing the whole interior in Red suede and black L.V. (yes the real Louis), plus glassing in an amp rack, door pods, kick panels, door panels, rear panels and a custom logo backlit with red neon. i cant wait to get this money...uh I mean....car.. yea thats it.... the carrrrrrrrrr LMAO!!!! i'm silly today, dont mind me yall lol!!

And hey, ya know yall are like fam so anything i can help ya wit, holla at a playa lol!!!!

Glad I could of been some inspiration? Now it's the other way around and you've inspired me to truely customize my interior the way I want to. Won't be done for awhile, as I'm currently unemployed, but now that my exterior is done, it's time to concentrate on the interior.

Re: GUESS WHO'S BACK!!!!! with some major updates

Oh yea while i got cha here. I'm about to take my door panels off. I already took off one piece, but how do you take the window switches out of the bezel? I want cover that lil piece in suede. the plan is to do everything in white glass then wrap the bottom carpet (aka "itch") and the top piece in grey suede. I plan to mold in a component set and a passive x-over. Along with a "Vendetta racing" logo made out of billet that will be flush mounted to the fiberglass and back-lit with white led's.......... was that too much for one door panel LOL!!! actually it's way more subtle than my iroc doors.

Are'nt you also on GCF.com? If so I'm putting a step by step thread up on the 2000 camaro door panel build-up and install in about a day or two. Oh plus I'm molding in a 5.6 tv for the rear seat that will sit behind the console and rest on the trans hump, starting that tommorrow.

BTW I left my job at UPS because of injuries and a silly *** supervisor and found myself unemployed also. I started with the smallest of materials to keep me occupied and it turned into the enclosure for my Z28!!! And then into a full blown business that I run now!!So you can actually do minor mods in the meanwhile to keep you going. Plus you forgot the most important thing................................

You got a playa-ristic, cool azz, "will help ya out for free", kinda homeboy named stangkilla. So rest easy and tell me whatcha tryin to accomplish. Plus I'll build you some stuff for the low-low if needed.

Just out of curiousity, what's the point of having the mid so far removed from the mid-bass?

Re: GUESS WHO'S BACK!!!!! with some major updates

The bezel for the window switches is held in by two metal clips about in the center of the bezel's longest side. You'll have to use a really small screw driver, prod into it and you should be able to get it out. I broke mine and had to silicone the clip onto the bezel to get it to stay down.

Never heard of GFC.com, but I'll have to check it out. What's the full site addy?

Haha, appreciate the offer, but I take the most pride in being able to say I did it all myself.

Here's the basic idea of my interior (I had recently posted about my interior plans in a different forum lol):

Door Panel
The doors are going to change. When I think of door panels, I think our 4th gen door panels are... well... useless. An armrest, and what more do you need? So, what I plan to do is chop the bottom "trash bin" off, and have the door panel be ONLY the armrest and the surface above it that's painted plastic right now. I'm going to cover the armrest portion of the door panel with carbon fiber, that way theres no chance of the paint rubbing through to being grey. The top portion of the plastic part of the door panel will be smoothed out to remove the texture and then painted black. Since the bottom portion of the door panel is going to be missing that big chunk where the "trash bin" used to be, I *might* consider putting a bigger speaker down there with a tweeter or something to increase audio quality, but I'm not positive.

Front Interior Compartment
First and foremost: Get the god **** carPC working. Bright red plush carpeting, like Grant's. Dash: totally smoothed out, and repainted black with many layers of clearcoat to really give it a glossy depth. I was even tempted to do a layer or two of resin ontop of the pieces, to almost make them truely look fiberglassed. The top of the center console will stay black carbon fiber, I'm going to redo the console lid so it matches well with the shift panel and isn't so yellow hued. The rest of the center console (the bottom half) will be painted red to match the carpet. As for the seats, I'm still undecided. It's either reupholstered seats with black and red, or true black and red corbeau racing seats.

Rear Interior Compartment
Smoothed out panels, removing the texture, painted black with red accents, maybe a layer of resin or two over the panels again to really give it a thick clear glossy look. Rear seat delete. Fiberglass a custom enclosure which will hold a fire extinguisher (god I wish I could find a carbon fiber one, though...) two 10" subs and an amp to power them. This enclosure will integrate with the center console, so it will look like two seats in a pod... Claustraphobics stay away.

Hatch/Trunk Compartment
Smoothed out panels, again, same thing going on back there. Red carpet back here too, with a first aid and tool kit sitting on the flat section that's carpetted (A lot of judged car shows around here require these items). The t-top storage holder will stay the same, no need to change it.
