Ground effects, what do you guys think?

I'm trying to decide between one of two things, an LT4 Hotcam kit to compliment all my other mods and make the car more fun to drive when i cant take the bike out without going over the top, or just leave all the speed to the bike and put these groudn effects on my car (wings wets kit, bottom 3" black with molded kit)

granted im a newbie and this is a horrible chop, but its the best i could do for now. the exhuast tips will of course line up correctly with the cuts in the rear valance too

Here's one for yo guys that say red (yes i know my photoshopping could use some work lol)

I didn't like the way your true-duals looked, so I would go with the ground effects to hide them, just my honest opinion.

Ground effects, but painted body color. Black ground effects look terrible IMO, unless they're on a black car, that is.

Agreed with both of the above. The GFX kit will hide those mufflers, and it should definately be the color of the body, black just looks bad. If you are going to go through the trouble of "camming" your car ....then do it right, hot cam kit is a good "novice" set up, spend a few bucks more and get something with some real kick and sound.

Like a Harley Davidson, because at least you won't have to drive the loud thing around everyday.
(i.e. loud Camaro = no fun to drive everyday).

yeah dont feel bad for that comment brangeta, that was my original reasoning behind the ground effects. I think the black has potential to look good, but it would take a bit more work than just doing them in viper red like the rest of the car, and ill probly have the door handles repainted in red while shes in if i go that route.

I also know the hotcam kit is a novice kit, but im looking for something for a daily driver with that little extra kick and a nice sound to it as well, and the hotcam kit also brings the swap right in line with the price of the gdfx + install and paint. both of these mods of course will eventually be done just deciding which one is first in line (6 months appart probably)

Is that the set of ground effects with the really ugly front valence? The set with the little speed pockets on the sides, and the front tip tries to follow the front bumper's point?

I'm not crazy about that front valence if so. If it was my car, I might consider leaving it off and just doing the sides and back.

all the front valances aside from the factory style are like that i think. i like the CA300 front valance best, i may go that route if i can find it cheap somewhere, because the whole wings west kit is 561 through a local speed shop, and just the rk front is 220 =/

I voted for the Hotcam. But if you do the ground effects, I would paint them the color of the car. The black just doesn't look right in my opinion.

I've got the WW ground effects on mine. Be warned: it doesn't look right without the spoiler lip

I'm glad I have it though, the whole package looks great and really makes the car stand out among all of the other Camaros running around my area.

I wouldn't waste my money on that LT4 kit if I were you. There are much better packages you can get for the same price.
