Exclamation Ground effects questions...

I'm looking to buy a set of ground effects for my 1996 Mystic Teal Camaro. I haven't seen any pictures of this color Camaro with ground effects before and I am wondering which would be the best choice? I like the look of the Wings West front and rear alot but does anyone else have any other suggestions?

I've also read a few posts on here that say newwayautosports.com is the cheapest place to buy Wings West yet they don't reply with any quotes and their 800 number doesn't work? Are they any other good places to buy the W-type kit other than ebay ($490 shipped) or is that the best price you can get?

I would also buy a used set if anyone has one for sale.

Thanks
-Mike

It's a '96 V6.

Although that is a nice car, I think I like the Wings West kit more as well.

I find that the front plate changes the look of the ground effects dramatically. In Ontario by law we need to have both the front and rear plates which really ruins the front.

My car is pretty much stock appearance wize, aside from GTS headlight/taillight blackouts, diamond clear corners, 15% tint, and black reflective camaro inserts (thanks Brent!).

But as far as pricing for the Wings West kit, is $490 off ebay going to be the cheapest I will be able to find?

Looks like I'm going to go with the Wings West then.

Now it's time for the fun of getting it painted

I was quoted $400 - $500 CDN to get it painted because " all the prep work required "...

According to the WW installation guide, it says to "degrease, sand, primer then paint"

Is there any tutorial out there to help with some of the preperation work? Not including the actually painting, but I'm sure I could handle sanding and priming. Which type of materials should I use?

Thanks guys.

Here's a good page for body work walk-throughs

Looks like a great informative site!

Is there a specific type of primer I should use because it's urethane ground effects?

Thanks for all the help.

I'd ask you body shop guy I doubt you'd need a special primer. But I know nothing
