Does anyone know what the difference is between the factory Trans Am ground effects and the ground effects that came stock on certain firebirds (W68)? I have a firebird that didn't come w/ them but I was wanting to add them. Will the TA ones fit okay and what do I need to do to add them? Thanks ahead for the help!

the standard fire bird and trans am have different bumper covers. If i where u i would search for a kit that is made for a firebird.

Yea, the Trans Am "Ground Effects" were molded into the front and rear bumper covers. The side skirts, I believe, were similar if not the same on both models. The 98+ Firebird and Formula Ground effects were quite flattering for those models, so I'd stick with a stock ground effect kit for those body styles. The 93-97 stock ground effects weren't as nice and I'd look into other options. I've even known people to put on a T/A front and rear bumper cover and add the side skirts and call it a day, lol.

All i'm really worried about is the side skirts. I like the TA skirts better but i'm not sure if they would work or be easy to install? Thanks for the reply
