Grill for 01 Z28
Hello all. I'm looking to get a billet aluminum grill for my 01 black Z. I live in Massachusetts, so I need to have a front license plate.
I was wondering if anyone has attached a front plate to one of these grills. Any really clever tricks? At the moment, I'm thinking of just picking up a license plate holder at the local parts store and bolting it on. Maybe notching the back the grille so the bolts don't move around. Any better ideas?
Also, any good suggestions of which metal grills look the best? I've been looking at Stull Industries and APC (from ls1speed.com). I just figure I need a little metal in the front to match the exhuast!
Thanks in advance!

The one all the way on the right in the "Damn Shadows" picture looks sweet! That's exactly what I was talking about. So just 2 questions:
1) Is that a Stull Grill or Street scense? Can't quite tell from the picture.
2) How'd you go about mounting the license plate? Would solder work on aluminum? Would it get to hot? Or would it be better just to bolt it on. Thanks!

I think I've heard of SLP selling a liscense plate bracket that attaches to the underside of the nose. I think it is like a piece of angles sheet metal that is bent at about 60 degrees. It would have bolt holes for the liscense plate or something like that. This way you don't have to drill any holes in the SS grill. I'm sure someone can offer more info on this piece.
EDIT - I found this over at www.slpeng.com .............
