Got some vinyl from Brent
I designed and ordered some vinyl from Brent for my GXP's windshield. It looks awesomeeeeeee. I applied it last night with help from my mom.
I designed it using the same font as what is used for the word GRAND PRIX on my trunk lid. Brent sent me a whole bunch of different dark gray samples so I could select one that would compliment my unusual paint color. I wanted something that wouldn't detract from the good looks of the car and wouldn't look like an ad-mobile. Something that could be seen at a car show, but not really seen by people tailgating me while driving. Something that would disappear at night when I park the car at a club or anywhere else. Charcoal Metallic ended up complimenting my car perfectly. It's the sample on the very bottom. The center piece of paper is a piece of photo paper with my car's touch up paint applied so I could see what it looked like in different sources of light.

Here's how it came in the mail:

And here it is applied. I took Brent's advice and after following his version #2 instructions, I laid the banners on the car and marked with masking tape where they would be applied so no mistakes would be made when the banners were peeled off. I used the flash in some of these pics. The pics aren't very good, so I'm going to take some in the sunlight this weekend at a car show.

Here's some close ups. It took my mom and me about 2 hours total to apply them. That included the cutting, the thorough washing process of the windshield, and then application to perfection. One modification I recommend to Brent's instructions is to use Armor All window cleaner instead of alcohol if applying to glass. The alcohol gave me a big scare because it fogged the glass and left a VERY hard to remove foggy film (which I was scared was permanent) when I used it. It may have reacted with the soap or something, but the Armor All window cleaner took it off with a LOT of elbow grease. I recommend using that instead. I know it was a chemical reaction of some sort, because when I tried just wiping the film off with pure water it wouldn't come off, which caused me to freak out and run and grab the window cleaner.

Brent also sent me some of my logos that might look cool applied to my headrests. Think I should do it? My windows are so tinted, I don't think they'd be visible.
