Post got royally screwed out of some bodywork :(

so anyyways, I brake my tail light in front of some guys house backing up into a fire hydrant. Anyways, turns out this guy is one of the guys that works at the dealer bodyshop(where I bought my car). I guess the car's hurting for money cause he offers to fix my rear bumper as well as do some of the other work I've been meaning to get done(dent in the 1/4 panel, painting my new bumper cover) and so we get a contract written up, blah blah blah, and to make a long story short, we agree on Dupont Chromabase paint in the contract and everything comes out to about $300. He wants $100 down for materials, so I pay it. Guy says the car wil be ready at 7. Well I guess he forgot I was coming, cause the guy was using spray paint!!!

Anyways, So I'm out $125(the guy forces me to pay him $25 dollars for the labor claiming he spent $100 on the materials before he gives back my spare keys, my mom and uncle say to jsut cut my losses for now, we were going to call the cops but Then it would've taken longer for the issue to get resolved.) Now it's going to cost me $580 to get the crappy work fixed(I'm gonna need the quarter panel sanded down, he did one ****ty *** job applying body filler, and I'm going to need both the frotn and rear bumper's stripped completey and repainted) plus the $125 I lost

Moral of the story, save yourself the heartache and go to a reputable shop, don't try to get anything on the side.
