Got my rims on

Hey gang got my tires 275 17's on with 35th anniv rims.
Sorry no pics. No camera
There should be a guy on here with 1 the same as mine
My car is a 96 red z.

? Now i just installed these.Is it good to get an aligment?
Also do i need to do any thing to the Tach?

The tach will be fine 275/40/17 is the correct plus sizing from stock 245/50/16. If you were to put the stockers and the new wheels next to each other they would be the same height.

As for the alignment dont think you really need one but if its been awhile might as well get it done since 17in tires do cost more than 16s.

to the 275's

look at your old tires. if they look like they are wearing more on the inside/outsides, then you would want to get an alignment

Well teh car was set for 245/50s from the factory. So when you had the 255 50s is when you should have done something about the tach. The car was set up for 245/50 so the 275/40 is a direct swap.

You should always get an alignment with new wheels. Good going on them, I've got a set on right now.

If you came with 16's from the factory and now you've got 17's you might want to look into getting the speedo recalibrated, or at least checked. A lot of z's go from the stock 16's to oem 17's, and I haven't heard of any of those guys having their speedometer checked. Then again, I guess alot of people don't do this either.
