Re: Got the car back together finally (pics) & poll

I just got mine from a place that advertizes on ls1tech. It was 1172.00 for all 4 wheels, 4 275/40/17 Sumitomo z rated tires, and all new chrome lugs and locks. They all come mounted and balanced and ready to put on the car. I ordered them last Thursday and had them the following Tuesday, so that was 5 days shippinf time including the weekend. I would post up the place I got them, but I think it's against forum rules since they aren't a suppoting vendor. If you want the site just PM me.

Nice looking car. I agree that the wheels match up well with the car. I like your red on your seats and the door panel's the most. It makes your car stick out a bit more from the rest. What's your RWHP on that beast?

Thanks again for all the feedback everyone. The red on the seats and door panels was all factory stuff, the only things that aren't stock are the gauges, eibach springs, and wheels and tires (and the entire drivetrain ). I'm not sure about the RWHP yet, I just started it for the first time yesterday . It seems to have a vibration coming from the converter/flexplate. I allready bought a vigilante 4000 stall for it so now seems like the perfect time to go ahead and put that in even though I wanted to dyno it with the stock converter . I'll probably go ahead and get a new flexplate while I'm at it just to make sure I get the problem solved. I'm hoping for a chassis dyno chart somewhere in the 600 range once I get all the bugs worked out, but I'll be happy as long as it produces more than 500 RWHP.

4000 stall for a supercharged 4l60e setup like yours? Why?

The converter has a 2.1 STR ratio, so it's still pretty tight even for it's high stall speed. It's similar to a nitrous converter. Supposedly it's the "perfect" setup for this type of engine because it's still tight and efficient but under heavy acceleration with high boost it'll keep the rpm's up and help keep the engine in the upper rpm ranges where the blower is providing the most boost. I talked to Fuddle Racing and Precision Industries and they both recommended a converter with 3500 to 4000 stall and a 2.1 STR ratio for my application.
