Question Is this a good package for lowering my car?

I've got a 96 z28 and plan on getting new rims and tires this summer as well as lowering my car. I'm not sure if i'm going with 18's or 19's yet. But i want to decide on the right set up for lowering my car.

I was looking on thunderracing.com and i saw a package deal on there that they say is everything you need to lower your car correctly. I'm going to put a link on this thread so you all can check it out and tell me if you would reccomend me getting that set up.

Here's the link....if you click springs at the top and then scroll down a little it's called the thunder racing complete lowering package for $350:

I'd really appreciate it if you guys could tell me whether this set up is quality and if it will work with a set of 19x9.5 rims just to be safe. Thanks for any suggestions/comments in advance.

If I were you I would get this
http://www.dynamicmotorsports.com/DM...%20Package.htm

The other kit is good but figure this
100 for the panhard 100 for the LCA brackets 150 for the springs

the kit I posted is 100 bucks for each and every item may be paying more but your getting more and saving in the long run

looks like a good deal, but it will probably cost around $300 to get installed.

If i were you, i would get 17" wheels, for several reasons

1. 19" wheels may cause clearence problems,
2. having that large of a wheelwill slow down your car
3. tires those sizes will cost more
4. rims that size will cost more
5. I think 17's look better, if you get nice looking tires.
6. 17's tires will give a smoother ride.

beat me to it. Unless you got some new ones not too long time ago. I would go ahead and change it since, especially on the front, since there are lots of work involved in changing the front shocks. Also, look into some relocation brackets also

I looked at that package also and opted just to get the spring and decide later if I required the bar and the brackets. Also are ever considering returning it to the stock ride height you would want the bolt on trailing link brackets. I need the brackets, I will tell you that. The panhard, I couldn't really tell you if I need it, the rear end is well centered now. I HAD to have new shocks. I posted on here and opted for Bilstein HD, they have to be revalved for lowered car. They are in the mail, but my car rides terrible right now, they have to help.

If you live were you have to drive on rough roads at all 19 would not be a good idea. Lowered your car won't be able to absord as much energy from impacts, the 18's are even a stretch.

Anyway, good luck, I love the way my car looks lowered.

oh yeah, forgot about that also. You might need a panhard rod...most likely you will unless you luck out and your rear end doesn't shift

I got the Eibach Pro kit with Bilstein shocks, I believe that's a really popular combination on the board. I love the way my Z looks and handles, you can see how it sits My Z
