I have been looking for a Ram Air hood for my car for quite some time. I want something functional and was going to get a SLP hood until I found out they were about 850 for a hood without shipping or paint. I have found these Glasstek hoods but am a little skeptical.

I ordered a hood off Ebay about a year ago and the guy supposedly worked for U.S. Exotics and the hood was supposed to be hand laid fiberglass. Well, when I got the hood, I was completely dissapointed. I could have taken a SH*T on my factory hood and it would have looked better. All the hood was was two seperate pieces that were bondo'ed together to make them into one piece. It was crap.

I saw that Thunder Racing was now carrying these Glasstek hoods and figured they wouldn't carry anything that was poor quality. So, does anyone on here have there hoods??? How is the quality?? Can you get some pictures of the underneath?? If so, I would like to see them.

What do you guys think?? Should I get a glasstek?

 

I do not know of anyone who has one, but if I were you I would try and call Thunder Racing to see if they maybe tell you a little bit more about it. It's worth a shot. I have dealt with Thunder Racing before on some MBA billet parts and they have great customer service.

 

I will probably have to do that. I was just wondering if anyone here on the board had any experience with them.
