Smile Give some feedback on these stripes...

The car in the pic is my black Z. I crudely drew on some cardinal red stripes... running down the side of the car.
Give some feedback, I am really starting to like the looks of it. I would just have to find a custom decal maker or get them painted on. Which would you do?
Thanks for the input
Dave

Edit: Picture the car 1.5"+ lower, this is an old pic.

I don't know...It's definitely unique, especially if you were to do an outlining small stripe. I think it could work!

I think it would need a small outline in the same color (like Ernster500 said)
I like how it wraps up and over the spoiler. I would try it. Find some red electrical tape and run a few lines down the car to see what it looks like. (electrical tape works great for a temp layout, it will flex for curves and if you don't leave it on too long it won't leave anything on your car)
Are those "updated:" clear corners

LOL- those look so cheesy.
As far as the stripes go, they're okay.. the front looks good but it seems like too much red on the back. I don't like the back part of it...

Question

Have you considered the hockey stick stripes?

In my opinion, if it was red like that it could look cool for about 5 minutes, but then it would start to look cheesy after that.

Here are some idea's that would look really good though:

- painted calipers with black caliper decals
- tint

If you could get the 69 style Camaro sidestripes in a very subtle "ghost silver", now THAT would be badass ! !

I'm not a big fan of it. I have to give you a 10 for creativeness(if there is such a word)though.

Thumbs up

Thanks for all the feedback!
I am not a big fan of stripes, but was playing around trying to find something that hasn't been done to death.
I guess you would have to see the car in it's current state to understand why I chose red.
The front and rear Camaros are inlayed in red, the 2nd gen emblems on the fenders have a red Z, the calipers will be red soon, and the amber tail lights are about to go solid red.
It's just the theme that I ended up with to break up the solid black.
The windows will be tinted too, to isolate the red from the tan interior.
Yes, I did crudely white out the front lights... The car was running in the pic, the lit amber DRLs distracted really bad. The car has clear corners now... so it seemed like the thing to do.
Thanks again
Dave

I don't know about the cardinal red.

I had cardinal red stripes on my car and several people used to comment they looked like they had a tint of orange to them... which they did... cardinal red isn't as deep as standard red IMO. I replaced these stripes with some just "red" stripes and I liked the color much better.
