Hey guys I'm gonna be tintin my Kamaro today.

I know nothing about tint and I was browsing the company's website and came across the tint section.

I dont want to get screwed, but I dont know what any of that stuff is...maybe one of yall does.

Also...is 15% relatively dark? I want it as dark as possible but not to attract the attention of the coppers.

Yes, 15% is pretty dark... I have 20% + factory (~17%) and I've had the car almost a year without getting pulled over for my tint... But I wouldn't go much darker because its really dark out the sides at night and I'm sure cops debate pulling me over.

 

15% is pretty dark in my opinion.

It's not likely you'll get in trouble, but just keep in mind that some states have laws about how dark you can tint your windows. Here are the %'s by state: http://www.pixelelement.com/gif/tint_laws.jpg

 

15% is pretty dark, it will definitely draw more attention to your car that way. I got 35% all around on my S40 and I am very happy with that and I have never been harassed about it.

i just got 20 or 25 percent tint a few weeks and like it. as stated, 15 percent is super dark and will probably get you pulled over sooner. i think 35 percent would probably be the safest route.

 

I've got 30% on my car and woudlnt have it any other way, though i wish i could go a litle darker on the rear hatch window, that or tinting the top part of my front.. too much light still gets in the car and if everyhting is lined up JUST right, then as the sun drops on the sky it looks like i dont even have tint o_o.. but at night its PERFECT

 

I have 20%(reads 18% on a tint meter) all around on my car. I like it but I want alittle darker. I need to get it redone because its been on there for over 12 years, the side windows are wavy as hell. I didnt know they made 15% I will probably get that, cause I dont want to go to 5%.

 

You have factory tint as well?

I have 5% all the way around on my camaro and 15% all the way
around on my daily driver 15% is borderline too light for me still

 

5% is the only thing I'd even consider...

I had 5% on my last car and was constantly on the road and never got pulled over. My new car has 10% and I'm kinda happy with it. I can see more out the sides at night but if you live in a city where there's lights everywhere I'd go for 5% cause I loved my 5%.
