I just came into a lump some of cash all of the sudden $3,500 to be exact .
So I am now getting my camaro painted a different color next week
I am gettin it painted Gunmetal Grey Metallic in place of the maroon . Im
keeping all the black accents on it (scoop, hockey sticks , tailpanel , etc.)
I now have $1,750 left over . What else should I buy ?

 

If your car still looks that good and there are no dents and digs on it then don't waste your money on a paint job.

 

I read about your car in last months issue... very nice car and the paint still looks good in my opinion, but I can picture it lookin good with the gunmetal grey metallic paint.

......I forgot to mention I ordered a new set of Z06 wheels to go with the paint . Theyre 18/9.5" all the way around and Powdercoated black with a polished lip

 

That thing looks sweet. Why are you wasting your money on a new paint job?

 

IMO that car looks awesome as it sits. You should have done some nice heads and a port matched intake.

Your paint looks good to me. If you have front end rock chips, repaint only that and have the shop buff the car out. Its amazing what a buffing can do. I like that maroon color too..

What did I miss? Do you have some mean heads on there now?

 

There was a typo in the magazine . I have ported and polished heads and still the stock bottom end . Its never been rebuilt . I guess even the publishers arent perfect

You would be throwing away money going with the gunmetal paint considering your curent paint is great and you could use that money to make your car even more unique (work on the cheap factory interior plastics).

 

Edit: I just realized... your car IS a '93-'97. Based on the color, I thought it was a '00 to '02 b/c I didn't look at the front end.

I would spend the money on... better brakes.
