Hey guys, I just put on a SS hood to drop some weight and add some cooling. One of the events I race in (Sunoco King Streets...) requires the car be painted. I'm going to do a full-blown paint job over the winter, but need to do something to get by for now. I was thinking about cleaning the hood real well and doing some flat black primer from cans... It sounds dumb to me, but easy and that's a good thing... Anyway, what do you suggest for a cleaner/prep and what brand of paint for the black? Also if you have any better ideas that don't cost $4K, I'd appreciate it.
